Privacy is a crucially important part of software and should be respected as such. I do not want to know anything about your personal data. WordSilo is designed around user privacy and safety to ensure any data you enter into the app remains private to the greatest possible extent.

WordSilo collects potentially personally identifiable information in the form of terms and words provided to the app. It uses these terms and words to source definitions which it provides to you. This data is not kept by WordSilo itself and is used solely to communicate with the third parties it sources information from. These third parties include FreeDictionary, Datamuse, Wordnik, and Big Huge Thesaurus. WordSilo does not control the privacy practices of these third parties, which may collect and retain the personally identifiable user data, which the app transmits from the user's device. The data WordSilo collects is only retained on device in local storage when requested by you, and is only used after that point when you attempt to acquire information pertaining to the data.

When a user purchases WordSilo, your billing information, address, and name are maintained by the App Store and not made available to WordSilo. The App Store may collect anonymous information about the purchase which it may provide to WordSilo's maintainers. This data is simply the number of purchases of the app that have been made.

Children’s Privacy

I do not knowingly collect sensitive personally identifiable information from children (such as a name, address, social security number, etc). I encourage children to never submit any sensitive personally identifiable information to WordSilo.

If you have reason to believe that a child has provided personally identifiable information to WordSilo, please contact us and the third parties used by the app with regards to their privacy policies listed above.

Privacy Policy Changes

This privacy policy may change over time at the sole discretion of WordSilo. By continuing to use the app after a change to this privacy policy, you accept the change.

Indemnity

You hereby indemnify WordSilo and undertake to keep us indemnified against any losses, damages, costs, liabilities and expenses (including, without limitation, legal expenses and any amounts paid by WordSilo to a third party in settlement of a claim or dispute on the advice of our legal advisers) incurred or suffered by WordSilo arising out of use of this app or any breach by you of any provision of these terms of use, or arising out of any claim that you have breached any provision of these terms of use.
